to everyone out there - Download Brave, haven t seen 1 downside to it yet :l
nvm, the 1 downside is i can t do that thing with youtube videos where they get popped out in a small tab that overlays any other app also get it for your phone too! basically free ytb premium :D
I recently replaced RUclips app with brave browser living in heaven rn.
I work in sales & have switched from the bullshit office subscription service to libre office, no payment needed and it runs far better than excell has ever done for me. Foss can often be better, not worse
revanced on mobile. operaGx with ublock pc
how ironic I got an ad before and after the video
vagina boob
in this category, maybe you are right, but there are mostly better free opensource alternatives than official software or service, for example for google or llama for chatgpt
I still use a heavily modified thinkpad T61p from 2007, great business tool
The only ad i need, is the one that provides me what i want and the best quality to best price that pops up when "I" ask for it. Anything else is just a waste of time and provided nothing of value for the customer.
I dont even give a crap about anything an ad has to offer. If i want something, i do my own research to find the thing i want… its just frustrating that you get ads even if you will never interact with them
U hate the AI chatbot ads the most because they show you photos of Anime girls in less clothing than you put on when you go to the beach.
Opera GX. Not a bad browser. It is very convenient to listen to music through it while playing. Consumes few computer resources
I didn't get an ad before this video! Checkmate---------------------Wait I just remembered the77377397973972974 times I did nevermind.
I had to squint my eyes when Solarized Light popped up , i was like "AAGgghhhHH.. THE LIGHT!! IT BURNSS!!"
rant
About some apps being based on chromium, like spotify: at some point windows file manager used to be based on internet explorer, so it's nothing new
Somewhere, in the bottom of a dusty drawer, I have a Mosaic badge that reads “Internet Killer App”. Browsers have come a long way since then. I don’t really care what megacorp has data on me. What’s important is getting stuff done and interoperability across all the devices I use. So I’ve chosen Safari.
lol look at my username, still have it from the early 2000’s
Or just type ":q" and press <Enter> 😂
Where can I get any book in .pdf from pls and thx?
i'm pretty new to online privacy but i've noticed that all social media sites grab your location from your ip to target ads even when you turn off all info sent to them, so now i'm curious as to do they just determine your location once when making an account, which could be stopped with a vpn, or do they track you every login?
I have never had these issues in either Manjaro or vanilla Arch. In fact the most problematic Arch based distro I've ever used honestly was SteamOS on my Steam Deck, however when I downgraded it to v3.4.11, my problems were fixed. Arch and Arch based distros have been more stable than any other distro for me.
What annoys me about brave is the fact that the browser has enabled sposorized images by default.
you suck
this is why i use windows
Picked out a (new) Think Pad for my sister. Review was good, price was ok. Opened it, installed Mint and the fan went crazy. Just sitting there it would noticeably turn up speed for no reason. I didn't even bother with tuning the fan curve, since the out of box experience was so annoyingly bad. Updating the kernel fixed hibernation and brightness, but in the end we sent it back and got her a tablet for half the money. Thr temperature would have allowed to tune the fans to some extent, but not nearly to the extent i would feel comfortable with. Very disappointing experience.
I'll admit, I used an install script to install Arch, but not the archinstall script I used ArchTitus, it's prefect! The configuration took almost no time at all, and I came out with a system that still feels like mine. Definitely would recommend it!
Next js with ssg serves pages super fast… wdym?
I wish you showed the final product.
Do I qualify as a IdeaPad user
There's an interesting parallel with open access science journals. The quality of science is often subpar and, sadly, the open access articles are being referenced by papers in more traditional journals.
Just dropped here and can't leave without saying: I use arch btw
This comment is typed on a Thinkpad. When I get a new one, first thing I do is disable the track pad.
Someone had to say this, thanks for saying this. Only users who regularly use these sofware will get the nuances, like calibrating sliders to not make the effects overblown, unifying tools that are similar for the user(even if their programs are different), arranging things in a manner that makes sense. It is all the little things that makes me dual boot windows just so i can have my proprietary creative software.
What free software should I use for thumbnails
My classmate on Web Framework class has a thinkpad, he's a geek, and glazing the Thinkpad so hard it convinces me to buy one lol. I've never regret buying one.
Thanks for your kind words man (one dark user here)
I compiled this code on windows
Audacity is actually very easy to use and straightforward. It's not a "serious" DAW, but if you just need to cut the ends of some recording, it's actually a much better choice because it runs much faster.
Thank you so much I have been using Ublock for 2 days and it si working.
It's crazy how the people who came up with the internet and subsequently all the standards we live in built everything to function as multiple pages not SPAs, the simulation is failing us
Space resistance is pretty important for me.
new thinkpads are now chinese spyware
Increased ads, like piracy, is a fundamental problem with the platform. Bad policies drive people away, and as people leave, the company cannot handle reduced revenue and increase ads, driving people away or looking for solutions. Get rid of ads, get rid of the ad-blocks, and maybe then we can discuss other ways tech companies get their revenue. However, this will never happen, the war never ends. Edit: Damn, you know it's bad when the FBI recommends using an ad-block
I didn’t have an ad before this video, and I have no yt premium or adblocker
where is netscape navigator, mosaic, erwise and worldwideweb?
i literally am watching this on arch btw
Was expecting either uBlock, Brave Browser or some VPN to protect your data being naturally led into as a sponsor for this video. Credit to you for holding back, I was waiting for it whenever you mentioned a product name :’)
No ads on my android 4.4.2 kit kat Samsung tablet for some reason so I use the tablet instead of my xbox
As someone who studied communication, my biggest gripe with many open source projects is that they don’t seem to comprehend that you need to chart your work based on what the end user tells you and their experience. Many open source softwares have some of the most ugly interfaces but they work so well. There are some newer apps that tend to have better quality in design and use friendliness but they’re mostly small apps. Wish someone would constituent a team to fork gimp and work on improving the user interface
